Tesco – the worlds third largest retailer is a British multinational groceries and general merchandise retailer with headquarters in Welwyn Garden City contacted Fuse after its Head Of Customer Experience received a video book we had produced for the National Lotto. He was impressed with the direct, user friendly way a video brochure delivered the message and it was totally brandable.
The directive was to produce a unit suitable to deliver five key training points for its staff across 2800 stores nationwide based on feedback from customers with ways to improve their shopping trip. The training points needed to be viewed by every shop floor staff member in a simple but effective way.
We met with the the training & communication team in Welwyn Garden City and offered several solutions including VideoHubs Touch Screen units and standard HD video books. Based on their video and printed assets we recommended a 7″ HD LCD screen hardback book with internal pocket to accommodate 2 training videos and 3 information/ bullet point cards. As the books were to be mailed directly to each store UK wide we also offered a fully branded mailer box with tear strip so the video books arrived in pristine condition ready to use.
Once the artwork and video content was completed Fuse worked tirelessly to produce 7000 units within 4 weeks and deliver to Tesco’s mailing house ready for the campaign to begin.
As this was the first time Tesco had used the video book concept for delivering its information and training it gained amazing reaction from its staff and feedback was positive across the stores. They plan to use the video book concept for training and video delivery across other departments with different requirements.
